Flim & the BB’s was an American jazz fusion band that gained prominence in the 1980s. Formed in Minneapolis, the band consisted of Billy Barber (keyboards), Bill Berg (drums), Jimmy Johnson (bass), and Dick Oatts (saxophone, woodwinds). Flim & the BB’s were known for their intricate and technically proficient instrumental music, blending elements of jazz, rock, and electronic music. They were pioneers in utilizing digital recording technology, which contributed to their clean and precise sound. The band released several albums, including “Tricycle,” “Big Notes,” and “Neon,” showcasing their musical prowess and innovative approach to fusion.
