Gun is a Scottish rock band that gained prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Formed in Glasgow in 1987, the band’s classic lineup included Dante Gizzi (vocals), Giuliano Gizzi (guitar), Scott Shields (bass), and Mark Kerr (drums). Gun found success with their debut album “Taking on the World” (1989), which featured the hit single “Better Days.” However, it was their second album, “Gallus” (1992), and the single “Word Up!” that catapulted them to international stardom. The cover of Cameo’s funk classic became a major hit and remains one of Gun’s most recognizable tracks. The band’s music, characterized by a blend of hard rock and melodic elements, contributed to their popularity during the early ’90s.
