Joshua Kadison is an American singer-songwriter and pianist, born in Los Angeles in 1963. He began playing piano at a young age and was influenced by classic rock, pop, and jazz music. Kadison gained popularity in the early 1990s with his debut album “Painted Desert Serenade,” which included the hit single “Jessie,” a ballad about a girl he had a crush on as a teenager. His music is known for its heartfelt lyrics, lush arrangements, and melodic piano playing. Kadison has released several albums throughout his career, including “Delilah Blue,” “Vanishing America,” and “The Making of a Song,” and has collaborated with notable musicians such as Elton John and Jennifer Warnes.
