Luna2 was an indie rock band formed in 1999 and based in New York City. The band consisted of former Galaxie 500 and Luna frontman Dean Wareham, ex-Superchunk drummer Stanley Demeski, and former bassist for The Chills, Justin Harwood. Luna2’s music was characterized by melodic indie rock, with elements of shoegaze and dream pop. The band released one album, “Close Cover Before Striking,” in 2002, which was well-received by critics. Luna2 disbanded in 2004. The photo is approximately 8″x10″.
