Michael English is an American Christian music singer and songwriter known for his powerful and emotive vocal style. Born on April 12, 1962, in Kenansville, North Carolina, English rose to prominence as a member of the contemporary Christian music group, the Gaither Vocal Band. With the band, he gained recognition for his soaring tenor voice and contributed to many of their acclaimed albums. English also pursued a solo career, releasing successful albums such as “Michael English” and “Healing.” Despite facing personal challenges in the 1990s, he made a comeback and continued to be a respected figure in the Christian music scene.
