Propaganda was a pioneering synth-pop and new wave band from Germany, formed in Düsseldorf in 1982. The band gained international recognition for their innovative sound and thought-provoking lyrics. Their debut album, “A Secret Wish” (1985), is considered a classic of the genre, featuring the iconic single “Duel.” Propaganda’s music was marked by its lush electronic soundscapes and Brücken’s distinctive vocals. The band’s work was often associated with the influential ZTT Records label, known for its avant-garde approach to pop music.
