Ride is a British alternative rock band that emerged during the “shoegaze” era of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Formed in Oxford, England, the band consisted of Andy Bell, Mark Gardener, Steve Queralt, and Laurence “Loz” Colbert. Known for their dreamy, swirling guitar textures and ethereal melodies, Ride quickly gained a dedicated following with their debut album “Nowhere” in 1990. The band’s sound evolved over time, incorporating elements of Britpop and more experimental approaches. Their music was characterized by a blend of catchy hooks, layered guitars, and introspective lyrics. The photo is from the 1980s-90s and is approximately 8″x10″.
