The Soup Dragons were a Scottish alternative rock band that emerged during the late 1980s and gained prominence in the early 1990s. Formed in Glasgow, the band was led by singer and guitarist Sean Dickson. They initially garnered attention with a raw indie sound but later achieved commercial success when they embraced a more dance-oriented and baggy style. The Soup Dragons’ breakthrough came with the hit single “I’m Free” in 1990, a cover of The Rolling Stones’ song, which reached international acclaim. Their album “Lovegod” further solidified their reputation as a band that seamlessly blended rock, pop, and dance elements.
