The House of Love is an English alternative rock band that formed in the late 1980s. Known for their melodic and atmospheric sound, the band gained recognition during the “indie” and “shoegaze” music movements of the era. Led by vocalist and guitarist Guy Chadwick, The House of Love crafted intricate and emotive songs, characterized by jangly guitars, layered arrangements, and introspective lyrics. Their self-titled debut album in 1988 garnered critical acclaim and featured the hit single “Shine On.” The band’s subsequent releases, including “The House of Love” (1990) and “Babe Rainbow” (1992), continued to showcase their unique blend of alternative rock and dream-pop sensibilities. The photo is from the 1980s-90s and is approximately 8″x10″.
