The Jesus Lizard, formed in 1987 in Austin, Texas, was a post-punk and noise rock band known for their intense and chaotic performances. Led by the charismatic and unpredictable frontman David Yow, The Jesus Lizard gained a reputation for their abrasive sound, characterized by angular guitar riffs, pounding rhythms, and Yow’s distinctive, frenetic stage presence.
