This lot is an original 1950s-60s photo taken by Malcolm McCarter, the famous train photographer. The photo shows Grand Trunk Western Engine #6410. It was one of six similar 4-8-4 engines used primarily for passenger travel. All six engines were scrapped, so none remained for restoration.
