This lot is a 1908 campaign button promoting the Michigan gubernatorial run of Dr. James B. Bradley who had served as Michigan’s Auditor General from 1905 to 1908. A well-respected figure in Grand Rapids, he was known for his involvement in community and professional organizations such as the Knights Templar, Shriners, and the American Medical Association. Though he did not win the governorship, Bradley remained active in politics, later serving as a Michigan presidential elector in 1928.
The pin measures approximately 7/8″ in diameter and is quite scarce. NOTE: White areas in the photos are light reflections from the plastic covers. None of the buttons have white areas.
