This lot is a vintage gold tone pin from around 1970. The pin promotes the GOP Republican Party call to clean the corruption out of government. The brooch is a figural representation of a broom topped by an elephant and a cartouche with the letters “GOP”. Pins of this type with this message date back to the late 1800s and have been used in many different campaigns. The pin is approximately 1.5″ tall by .5″ wide and has a standard rollover clasp.
