“The Soldier’s Last Journey” is a piece of sheet music composed by Bessie Reed Bramwell and published in 1902. The sorrowful ballad tells the story of a soldier making the final journey home after dying in battle. It was written during the Moro Rebellion in the Philippines when U.S. soldiers were being sent to battle. It is an extremely scarce piece.
